Letter from Hell Transcript

I am no stranger to the grotesque and the absurd but rarely does one stumble across such a tragic undertaking as the "Letter from Hell" video. I came across it after it was posted here.

The original video, if you can even call it original, is posted at this godforesaken shit heap.

Now I could spend a good bit of my day destroying the validity and lack of conscience put forth but the makers of this dismal and poorly produced 'video.' It's really just a kludge of crappy powerpoint slides and some scrolling text hacked together with a 6 minute monologue about how hell is so dark scary and how it's all Zack's fault.

Before I say another thing here's the transcript *as promised, Dawkins.net people*

Letter from Hell transcript. The bulk of the text is red on a black background. Some of the dialog is not written, those parts are in parentheses.

*****************************************************
(Slide1 – Black background with red text)

What if you had a friend
Who died without
Knowing jesus as their
Personal savior

What if he or she went
To Hell?

Slide2 – What if one day

You received a
Letter in the
Mail from
Beyond?

Slide3 – A letter from Hell

Slide4 – A letter from your
Friend in the flames
Of eternal torment

(Star-wars-style scrolling text, also black background with red text)

The following is a dramatic

presentation.

It was written by a fictitious High

School Student named Josh, to a

Friend named Zack.

Although Zack had every

Opportunity to tell Josh about

Jesus…

…he didn’t.

They were best friends.

They played soccer together.

They went to classes together.

They partied together.

They shared their lives with each

Other.

Slide5 – But there is one
Thing Zack held
Back from Josh…

Slide6 - …His personal
Relationship with
Jesus Christ.

Slide7 – The rest of the story
Is simple and sad... [like so much of christianity]

Slide8 – A few too many
Beers…

Slide9 – A tragic drive home…
A crash…

Slide10 – a death
A funeral

Slide11 – A Letter (big text)

Slide12 – Here is that letter (in its entirety)

Slide13 – A letter from Hell.

(Slide14 – Blue background, white text)

Dear Zack,
I died today
It’s a lot different than I expected.
You see,
I always thought that dying would bring
Me to a world that is foggy and hazy.
But this place is crystal clear…
It’s even more real than my life on
Earth.

Slide14 (slightly bigger text here)
I can think.
I can talk.
I can feel.

Slide15 – Cops at accident, no text.

Right after the accident I could feel my spirit leaving my body. It was the weirdest thing, Zack. I thought I heard you screaming out to me, man. Must have been just imagining things. (white fade into next slide)

Slide16 – People walking towards bright end of square concrete tunnel, no text) At first I was just standing in line, getting registered I guess. They asked me for my name…and began to look in this thing they called the book of life (Fade into next slide)

Slide17 - wrought iron gates in foreground, overcast sky in background) I guess they couldn’t find it though (his name) because this huge angel standing next to me grabbed me by the arm and started dragging me away. I was terrified. I had no idea what was going on. I asked the angel where he was taking me, but he didn’t answer. So I asked him again… (fade into next slide)

Slide 18 – Blue background, white text.) (He told me)
Only those, whose names were
Written in the Book of Life, could
Enter into Heaven…

Slide19 – Red background, white text) …the rest would be condemned to Hell forever.

Slide20 – (picture of lighted clouds, no text) Man I was scared. The angel threw me into some kind of holding cell. Where I’ve been sitting and thinking for a long long time (since he died today it stands to reason this means less than 24 objective hours) Do you want to know what I’ve been thinking about?

Slide 21 –(black back ground, red text) I’ve been thinking about YOU.

Slide22 – (Zack,) You’re a Christian.
You told me so yourself.
(I mean we talked about it three different times today.)

Slide 23 – (Kelly brought it up and) You laughed it off.

Slide 24 – (Coach Adams brought it up and) You changed the subject.

Slide 25 – (I mean,) It came up… (right before the wreck. Well the question I can’t get out of my mind is this, Zack.)

Slide 26 – Why haven’t you ever
told me about how to
become a Christian?

Slide27 – I mean) You say you are my friend…

Slide 28 – If you were you would have told me about (this) Jesus. (and told me how to escape this terrible place that I’m headed for.

Slide 29 – Fade to white, black red excetera) (I can feel my heart pounding in my chest, the angels who have been chosen to cast me into hell are coming down the hallway. I can hear their footsteps)

Slide 30 – (Black background, red text again)

I have heard of this
Hell…
They call it the
Lake of Fire

Slide 31 – (I can’t stand it, Zack.) I am terrified. (No! The angels are at the door. Oh no, no! They’re coming in and they’re pointing at me. They’re grabbing me and carrying me out of the room.

[How does he write while being dragged off by huge angels, one wonders.]

Slide 32 – I already can smell the

Burning sulfur and brimstone.

(I can see the edge of the cliff where Hell burns)

Slide 33 – (this is it) I am without hope.

Slide 34 – (We’re coming closer, closer,) Closer.

Slide 35 – (My heart is bursting with) Fear.

Slide 36 – (They’re holding me over the) Flames.

Slide 37 – (I am damned,) forever.

Slide 38/40 – This is it. They are throwing me in.) Fire, Pain, HELL

Slide 41 – (Why Zack) …Why didn’t

You ever tell

Me about…

Slide 42 – (White background, Black text) …Jesus. (hurt breathing sounds.)

Slide 43 – (Signed) Your friend, (Josh) [demonic voice, presumably Satan, welcomes Josh in the background]

Slide 44 – P.S. Wish you were here. [demonic voice echoes this sentiment] (repeats a few more times)

Slide 45 – Black background, white text, music is drastically different) Don’t bother me.

Slide 46 – Smaller text) Don’t bother me
With souls to save
I have my on [sic] agenda
There’s school to do,
Sports to play,
Important stuff to attend to.

Slide 47 – Don’t bother me
With my friend at work,
He’s got his own religion
I don’t have time
To change his mind
He’ll make his own decision

Slide 48 – Don’t bother me

With that little girl,
The girl playing in the street
She’s much too young
To understand
That the Savior she could meet.

Slide 49 – Don’t bother me
With the sounds I hear
The sounds of people shrieking
Although I wonder who they are
Who are these victims
Screaming?

Slide 50 – Don’t bother me
With who they are
I really don’t want the blame

Slide 60 – Cause [sic] it’s my friend at work
And that little girl

Slide 61 – Who from Hell,
Scream out my name.

Slide 62 – (But) Don’t bother me.

***********************************************
Thus concludes the transcript. Read more about the responses from Zack in the next post.

"For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven" ( Matthew 5:20)

"I tell you, on the day of judgment you will have to give an account for every careless word you utter; for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." ( Matthew 12:36-37)

"The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and they will throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father." ( Matthew 13:41-43)

"For this reason the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his slaves ... So my heavenly Father will also do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother or sister from your heart." (Matthew 18:23-35)

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats . . . And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." (Matthew 25:31-46)

"Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven." ( Matthew 7:21)

"Everyone therefore who acknowledges me before others, I also will acknowledge before my Father in heaven; but whoever denies me before others, I also will deny before my Father in heaven." ( Matthew 10:32-33)

"Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." ( Matthew 18:3-4)

It is very important that we take Hell seriously. More important still is that we choose to go to Heaven (and not Hell) by receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior. There is no other way. He is the way to Heaven - and He died on the cross so that we wouldn’t have to go to Hell.

Jesus taught that Hell is a place of torment and fire as these Scriptures reveal:

The man in Luke 16:24 cries: ". . .I am tormented in this flame."

In Matthew 13:42, Jesus says: "And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

In Matthew 25:41, Jesus says: "Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire . . ."

In Mark 9:46, Jesus speaks about Hell: "Where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched."

Revelation 20:15 says, "And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

Jesus told the story of a rich man and a poor man, and the rich man ended up in Hell, describing it as a place of torment (Luke 16:22-28). The rich man actually cried out in Hell: ". . .I am tormented in this flame" (Luke 16:24).

The Rich Man and Lazarus

"Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day. A certain beggar, named Lazarus, was laid at his gate, full of sores, and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table. Yes, even the dogs came and licked his sores. It happened that the beggar died, and that he was carried away by theangels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died, and was buried. In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom. He cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.'
"But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in like manner, bad things. But now here he is comforted and you are in anguish. Besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that those who want to pass from here to you are not able, and that none may cross over from there to us.'
"He said, 'I ask you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house; for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, so they won't also come into this place of torment.'
"But Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.'
"He said, 'No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.'
"He said to him, 'If they don't listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.'"

Luke 16:19-31

Below are more Scriptures taken from the New Testament (and mostly from the Gospels) on what Jesus said about Hell.

"The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and they will throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father"

(Matthew 13:41-43).

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats . . . And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life" (Matthew 25:31-46)?

Yes we must truly believe that God sent his only begotten son no to condem us but to give us everlasting life . And hell was not created for us it was created for the devil and his angels it is by our own actions we are cast there .
